Project Summary
Ploughman's Hall is a historic Ploughman's society hall dating back to 1779, which in its day marked the highest point of agriculture in Aberdeenshire. This 2 storey four bay hall is grade 'B' listed and was renovated previously to create a family home.
ak|a's proposal is to renovate the hall in a sensitive manner to create a family space within the hall bedrooms on the ground floor, retaining all the original character.
A new extension is proposed to the east to provide a sunspace on the ground floor with a connection to the garden and a further bedroom and utility. The proposal within the grounds, sits well in the landscape with its charred timber and glass elevations.
