Project Summary
Peterhead Baptist Church has a thriving congregation with an expansive outreach programme and welcomes a number of community groups. It was recognised that its existing accommodation was no longer fit for purpose. Following a feasibility study of the site and buildings it was decided to retain the church and connect to the adjacent property at 49 King Street by providing a new welcoming ‘Hub’.
A private external cloister area links hub, church, halls, meeting rooms and service areas.
The new design values the built heritage of the site while ensuring the future of Peterhead Baptist Church as a contemporary place of worship.
