Project Summary
The office design uses a simple typology of an extruded pitched roofed gable. Orientated to exploit sunlight with large areas of glazing facing south, the office will also take advantage of the spectacular views towards Bennachie. To enable the development to blend in with the local landscape, natural materials will be specified, including timber, local stone and slate.
An open and closed extruded gable, is broken to allow for circulation and openings. This is shown in the design of the covered entrance, the conference room gable and the open plan office space where the use of glazed openings, glazed links and high level clerestorey glazing enable the staff and clients to work and conduct meeting with a fantastic backdrop of the surrounding environment of mature woodland, vast expanses of land and spectacular views to Bennachie and surrounding hills.
