Project Summary
ak|a were commissioned to upgrade and refurbish an assuming 20th century cottage in a stunning location overlooking Loch Torridon.
The cottage has been upgraded by re-insulating, increasing airtightness and providing a wood burning stove in the principal room.
Picture windows slide away to access an elevated deck which can be enjoyed in finer weather.
Walls have been over clad in home-grown larch and roofs re-covered in profiled metal sheeting, transforming the appearance of the cottage and ensuring it sits well in the wider landscape.
